The Way Of The Fight  By: Georges St Pierre

This Book I am reading this last week of silent reading is The Way Of The Fight  By: Georges St Pierre. Georges St Pierre also known as ''GSP'' is a semi-retried Canadian Mixed Martial Artist from a small suburb of Montreal. He is the former UCC (Ultimate Combat Challenge) Welterweight Champion. and the 2 time Former Undisputed UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship)  Welterweight Champion of the world. GSP won the title back from Serra in 2007 during there rematch and never losing since. GSP also was named Canadian Athlete of the year in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He vacated his title on December 13th, 2013 to take some time off from the demanding sport but left the door open for a possible return.
This book is a little different than most. Its split into 5 mini books. Mother, Mentor, Maser, Maven and Conscience. During the week I had to read, I finished the first book: Mother. In this book GSP talks about his early childhood, with little snipits that his Mother wrote, and how was bullied in school how he began Kyokushin Karate and getting his black belt. Also techniques how to reach your potential physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Question 15

What main ideasthemesdoes the author explore? (Consider the title, often a clue to a theme.) Does the author use symbols to reinforce the main ideas?

Like I said in the summary of Book 1; Mother. GSP talks about how to reach your potential physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Silent Reading Week 11, Question 5

The Crazy Horse Electric Game - Chris Crutcher

This week tons of stuff happened at OMLC High School. One day during Gym while everyone was outside, a friend Willie met, his name is Jack, he was just walking around. All of sudden everyone heard Jack screaming. Everyone outside rushed to find him, when they did he was on the ground being beat up by the same guys who beat up Willie at the bus stop. They class chases them away and help Jack. The gangs name is the "JO boys". Weeks past and everything was awesome at OMLC, Willie loved his new school and his new friends. When Willie enrolled he promised to fix up the school (because it kinda look old and close to falling down on its own). One morning he came early to do some work. On the freshly painted wall he saw something that game his chills up and down his spine. On the wall in fresh black spray paint "the JO boys" it was EVERYWHERE! There was enough time for Willie to paint over it before everyone arrived. The next 3 days it was the same routine. Students took notice and made up a plan. Willie and his friends Hawk and Kato. Willie, Hawk and Kato would wait for the JO boys in the basement when they showed up, they would beat them up just like they did to Willie and Jack. Willie was in the basement, waiting for Hawk. When Willie began to hear banging from the other side. It was them and Hawk hadn't even showed up yet. The leader of the gang, Kam was banging on the door. The gang was destroying the new remodeled school that Willie helped with. Willie felt hot, her knew they were setting the school on fire.Willie would have to leave the room in the basement before the school burnt down. Willie needs to leave so burst open the door to try and get out quick and the JO BOYS were not giving him an easy time. Everyone but Kam left. So it was just Willie and Kam. By this time the smoke was getting to Kam and he was struggling for air. It was this reason that Willie ha such an easy time getting passed him. As Willie bolted up the stairs he heard Kam screaming and on the floor. The fire was getting very close and Willie knew if he left Kam would burn to death. Willie went back and dragged Kam out of the school and to the grass area outside. Fire trucks were speeding down the street too help. Hawk and Kato saw the fire as the arrived at the school and called 911. Willie had saved Kam's life.

(about a month later)

It was time for graduation at OMLC High School. after the accident a new course was made at the school : ABR Advanced  Building Restoration. And the school had never looked better. Willie still does therapy with Sammy and Lisa. and now there is no sign that he was ever disabled. When it was time for the ceremony everyone gathered in the gym. 18 graduating students. When they all got the diplomas they were allowed to say a few words. Some said simply Thanks. When Willie got his the school also gave him a trophy and on it said "The Comeback Cowboy". Willie gets emotional in his speech saying thank you to everyone. After grad Willie decides its time to go home. He boards the greyhound at 8;30 am. Lacey dropped him off and said there thank yous and goodbyes. Willie is dropped off right where he left, at the drug store. He makes his way back to his house he takes a couple steps onto the law and sees a sign on the porch "The Millers". Willie heads back to the drug store to use the phone and finds Johnny's phone number. His mom answers and says Johnny inst home he is at work. Willie finds out that he works at Wilkie's Conoco. Willie walk over and see's Johnny step out just as he arrives. Johnny is so surprised and very happy to see his best friend. Willie of course asks about everyone and about his parents. Johnny tells Willie that his parents got a divorce. His Dad would probably at the bar because after Willie left his dad became the town drunk. His mom remarried and moved just out of town. Willie heads to the Bar to see if he can find his dad. Its not that hard, Willie approached him and his father doesn't seems so happy to see his son. They end up arguing and Willie leaves to go back and see Johnny back at his house. When at the house (Johnnys) he uses his dads old bike. Johnny was selling it for him but Willie gets it. Willie drives to Willow Creek to see his mom and apparently his new step father. He calls quickly and a man answers. Willie introduced himself and knew this was probably Don her new husband. Lets him know he wants to come over to meet him and see his Mom. Willie gets there and walk for a bit with his mom to talk. Talk about what happened to his parents marriage. His mom talk about how it got really bad when Willie left and his Dad started to drink, lots of fighting over everything. Willies Mom wants him to give Don a chance and get to know him. Willie leaves to go back to Coho to see his Dad at the Motel he lives in. At first his Dad was reluctant to let him in but says that they should go get some coffee. They leave and once at the coffee shop Willie gives his Dad and small letter that Lacey gave him to get his Dad when he got back home. Willies Dad read
 '' Dear Mr. Will Weaver
Here you boy back. He fix. Be careful how you treat him, he specal. If you don't want him, send him back.
Lacey Casteel''
Willie laughed at the way Lacey wrote the letter just like he spoke. The two talk for a bit about everything and then Willie leaves. He wants to go see Jenny. Jenny's mom welcomes him with a big hug saying how everyone is so glad he is back. Willie and Jenny go for a walk to talk. about how guilty Jenny feels, like see drove him out of town and killed him. They argue some more and Jenny leaves. Early Sunday morning Willie packs his things in a suitcase thanks Johnny's mom for letting him stay and says goodbye promising to meet again soon. Willie ride the bike to his old house and knocks on the door. A woman answers most likely Mrs Miller. Willie explain that he used to live in this house and that he would be leaving town. He asks to come inside to take on more look. The woman lets him in and Willie goes to see what used to his little sisters room. Inside there is a crib and a baby inside Willie rubs the baby's head and see how easily the baby is breathing. Not like how his sister was before she died. Willie starts to cry. the woman comes into the doorway and says '' Her name's Melinda'' ''She is beautiful'' Willie says. Willie thanks the Woman and leaves on his bike. And heads south back for Oakland.

Silent reading Week 10, Question 18

The Crazy Horse Electric Game - Chris Crutcher

Since Willie will be staying with Lacey for awhile, Lacey wants Willie to start going to school. One day Lacey and Willie pull up to an old school type building with a sign that reads " OMLC High School". They go inside and meet the school director, Andre Porter. Lacey told Willie he is guaranteed  a spot at there school, because Andre owes Lacey many favors. Andre explains that the school is "here for kids not making it in public schools, for what ever reason. That means that we've got kids with learning disabilities, kids with attitude problems, kids with drug and alcohol problems, and kids whose parents just want them to have more attention than they can get in a class of thirty five students where at least fifteen are armed and dangerous."Andre gives Willie a tour and then they enroll Willie to OMLC. As Willie progresses at the school his physical therapist uses Basketball as a form of therapy. Willies movement is becoming better with each basketball game. At Lacey's house Willie doesn't see much of Lacey, he is normally out doing his own stuff with his "business" One night Lacey come home very drunk with a student from Willies school , Angle is her name. Willie puts two and two together and figures out that Angle works for Lacey, as a prostitute. Willie tries to get some sleep but hers screams and banging from upstairs, Willie goes up the stairs to investigate and finds Lacey beating the crap out of Angle, she is trying to fight back but is too week. Willie takes the end of his cane and swings it hard to the back of Lacey's head and knocks him right out. Angle sneaks away as Willie calls 911 for Lacey not Angle. Angle told Willie that if the paramedics see her they are going to know that it was a domestic dispute, and she doesn't want Lacey mad at her and fire her. The Paramedics leave with Lacey. Willie thinks about leaving but knows that he would have no place to go. At school Willie continues with Basketball therapy and if he moves from "his center" he can just about move with out a cane, with the cane you cant even tell he was in an accident.

18.   If you could ask the author a question, what would you ask? Have you read other books by the same author? If so how does this book compare. If not, does this book inspire you to read others?

I would ask the author Chris Crutcher, Was there a book that you read when you were a kid that inspired you to begin writing? And Yes i am currently reading another book by Chris, called Deadline.
The two books are very similar, both about teenage boys over coming challenges in there life, Whether it be dying or an start athlete going through physical therapy after a bad accident.

Silent Reading Week 9, Question 15

The Crazy Horse Electric Game - Chris Crutcher

In this weeks reading Willie decides to run away. He get on a Greyhound bus headed west, to Spokane. He will get on another bus and head south to San Francisco. He stole some money from his parents before he left, and cleared his savings account,  $479.  As the bus gets closer to San Francisco, Willie begins to question his choice, but just pushes those thoughts out of his head. The ride is longer then expected, but Willie is in no hurry to get off. The driver announced that there will be a delay before the Bus crossed the Bay Bridge to San Francisco because the bus needs to be repaired. And that if people are in a hurry they could get a local bus transit system or to transfer to or BART. Willie asks the driver what BART is. The driver responds with Bay Area Rapid Transit. You can take a city bus to the BART station its like a subway, goes under the bay to San Francisco. The bus driver advises him to maybe wait on the bus because this isn't the best part of town to be in a night for a kid. Willie just ignores him and finds his way to the bus station. Its not what he expected its really sketchy and there is a group of boys who look like trouble. The boys approach Willie and start asking for money to wait at ''Their bus stop'' Willie lies and says he only had 6 dollars, and the boys says it gonna cost him 6 bucks to wait and 6 buck to leave to. The boys take willies cane. Willie is really hoping the bus would show up already, right on que he hears a diesel engine coming around the corner. Willie snatches the cane when the boys are caught off guard and Willie hops on the bus. But he was not fast enough the boys got on the bus right behind him. Willie hand the bus driver a single and takes the closest seat to the driver and the boys go to the back of the bus. Willie asks the driver if he could tell him when the get to the BART station the driver nods yes. The driver can tell that the boys are giving Willie a hard time. and tell him when he gets off to run like hell. Willie tells the bus driver he cant run like hell anymore, used to, not anymore.  the bus driver says he will try and jam them as long as he can. The bus stops at BART and Willie gets up quickly and Willie gets off as fast as he can and crosses the street towards BART. The gang catches up to Willie and beat him up real bad. Willie has no choice but to give them all his money. Willie just lies on the sidewalk as he feels the world slipping away. When Willie wakes up he is surprised to see the bus driver over him. He sits up and feels dizzy and throws up. The bus driver takes Willie out for breakfast. The bus drivers name is Lacey, Lacey is a super nice guy and lets Willie say the night at his house. After the first night Lacey and Willie make a deal" Willie can stay at Lacey's house is he does work around the house like dishes, repairs, and cleaning. As the days pass, Willie learns that being a bus driver is only a night job. Lacey is a pimp......... (most random book ever!!)

15.   What main ideasthemesdoes the author explore? (Consider the title, often a clue to a theme.) Does the author use symbols to reinforce the main ideas?
The main idea in this book is Challenges, both physically and mentally. Physical being Willies disability and mentally because his confidence had dropped significantly since the accident. He has to over come both those things, and I think he will!

Silent Reading Week 8, Question 10

The Crazy Horse Electric Game - Chris Crutcher
This week I started a new book called The Crazy Horse Electric Game written by Chris Crutcher. In the beginning of the book we are introduced to the main character of the book, Willie and his friends. They all play Baseball together on the same team. The Championship game is coming up and Willie is as ready as ever. They are playing one of the toughest teams in the league, Crazy Horse Electric (all the teams are named after a small business in the city.) The day of the game arrives, and the team is ready. The game is close and Samson Floral wins the game with an incredible triple play!! AND THEY WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!! When school starts Willie is the town hero. On the first day of school Willie gets taking to one of his best friends Jenny. A few days later Willie asked Jenny out (so cheesy :/ )  ON one of the last weekends of good weather for water skiing, Willie, his parents, his friends, and Jenny went to the lake. Everyone was having a blast and just before everyone was going to pack up Willie wanted to go just one last time. Something Very bad happened. Willies weight shifted forward and the top of his skis dipped into the water pulling him down HARD. The tip of the ski bounces back up and hits him in the middle of the forehead. and the last thing he sees is the blood from his head leaking in the water. Jenny and Willies Dad help him up and take him to the hospital as fast as they could.  Willie survives but had alot of brain damage. Had trouble walking, and his speak is very slow. When he goes back to school everyone is so happy to see him again. But Willie would rather stay home and not see anyone. HIs friends notice Willie is becoming very distant. So one night Willies friends take him to a party. One of the older boys there, Willie did not recognize they began talking, Willie told him about the accedent. And the older boy gave Willie a pill and told him when he is in a lot of pain, just take this and he will feel better. The boy leaves and Willie takes the pill, he begins to see the Crazy Horse Electric Game in his head. He has a seizure and his eyes roll back into his head. The guy who gave him the pill comes into the room and acts worried like he cares. And it looks like he took some acid.  Willie is taken to the hospitable and is fine a couple days later. He starts to take speech therapy at school and talking to a  therapist named Cyril Wheat, who the state is providing. At school Willie is the Manager of the girls basketball team. Willie begins to feel out of place at school, even when he is with close friends. One day Willie was walking down the hallway his special cane with the baseball on the end, on it said "Willie Weaver-1 Crazy Horse Electric-0" At the end of the Hallway he saw his girlfriend Jenny walking down the hallway with this guy Jeff Rhodes. The conversation is awkward and Willie can tell Jenny and Jeff are both very uncomfortable. Willie knows Jenny couldn't handle having a handy-caped boyfriend, she had move on.  Jeff leaves to escape the awkward situation, leaving Willie  and Jenny alone... Before you know it, its a yelling match and shortly after that Willie calls Jenny "a lying bitch". They both storm away.

Question 10
What was the cause of one of the happenings in the story?  In other words, what made something happen?  Was it something someone did, or said, or something that just happened?  Explain.

Well the Most obvious event was Willies accident. This event happened because Willie wanted to get in 1 more run before the season was over, It was both what someone did and what someone said. Willies Dad asked if Willie wanted to go one last time, and Willie did end up going one last time before the season was over, and then the accident happened.

Silent Reading Week 7, Question 7

The Fault in our Stars - John Green

This weeks reading had a lot of different emotions: happy, sad, funny, and down right depressing. Okay lets start! Hazel made her way down to the Literal Heart of Jesus at the church. When she got there she already saw that Gus beat her here, his car was parked in the lot. and the front door was propped open with a chair. Hazel made her way inside and saw Gus sitting in his wheelchair at the front and Isaac standing at the podium. Hazel sat next to Gus and asked "What we were doing here" Gus replied "I wanted to attend my own funeral. I am hoping I would be able to attend as a ghost, but I thought I would would throw something together last minute" Isaac began his eulogy, getting a little chocked up while saying "Gus got 18 years when he should have had way more." Gus corrected him. "17 buddy" Isaac chuckled and said "I'm assuming you got some time, stop interrupting your supposed to be dead!" Isaac continued and said "When scientists of the future show up at my house with robot eyes and they tell me to try them on, I will tell the scientists to screw off, because I do not want to see a world without him. Isaac Began to cry and Hazel helped him find a seat. It was her turn. She made her way up to the podium and began to speak. "My name is Hazel. Augustus Waters was the great star-crossed love of my life" Then began to talk about how "there are an infinite set of numbers between 0 and 1. like .1   .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. But there is an even BIGGER infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2 or 0 and 1,000,000. Some Infinities are simply bigger then other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that." She began to get chocked up and needed a few seconds to compose herself. At the end of the eulogy she said "But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn't trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm greatful." Gus health continued to decline and he passed away 8 days after his pre funeral. At his real funeral a man in a white suit caught the attention of Hazel during the service. Hazel was surprised to turn around and see Peter Van Houten. When it was time for Hazel to go up and give her eulogy. She decided not to give the eulogy she had written for Gus's pre funeral. She thought that one should only be for Gus and herself (.....and Isaac) After the service Isaac and Hazel were talking, and Isaac happened to ask Hazel ''Did you get the thing Gus wrote?'' Hazel had no clue he had been writing something. She went over to Gus' house to see his parents but mainly to find this thing he wrote. There was no recent documents on his computer. Last thing he wrote on there was a paper for school. Hazel was looking around where his hospital bed was in the living room where he had spent most of his time in his last days. Hazel found a notebook. Nothing...... but she notices a couple of pages ripped from the front of it. THAT HAD TO BE IT BUT WHERE WAS THE PAGES?!?!  Hazel sent an email to Lidewij asking her to look and see if Gus had sent anything to Peter. Lidewij said that she would go over early the next day. Hazel was non stop checking her emails. About 20 hrs later she got an email form Lidewij containing 4 attachments. In the email Lidewij explained that she went over to a small pile of mail on Peters table, the two had spoken alot in his few days. She said the images are parts of a letter Gus sent to Peter. Hazel began reading

"Van Houten,

I’m a good person but a shitty writer. You’re a shitty person but a good writer. We’d make a good team. I don’t want to ask you any favors, but if you have time—and from what I saw, you have plenty—I was wondering if you could write a eulogy for Hazel. I’ve got notes and everything, but if you could just make it into a coherent whole or whatever? Or even just tell me what I should say differently.

Here’s the thing about Hazel: Almost everyone is obsessed with leaving a mark upon the world. Bequeathing a legacy. Outlasting death. We all want to be remembered. I do, too. That’s what bothers me most, is being another unremembered casualty in the ancient and inglorious war against disease.

I want to leave a mark.

But Van Houten: The marks humans leave are too often scars. You build a hideous minimall or start a coup or try to become a rock star and you think, “They’ll remember me now,” but (a) they don’t remember you, and (b) all you leave behind are more scars. Your coup becomes a dictatorship. Your minimall becomes a lesion.

(Okay, maybe I’m not such a shitty writer. But I can’t pull my ideas together, Van Houten. My thoughts are stars I can’t fathom into constellations.)

We are like a bunch of dogs squirting on fire hydrants. We poison the groundwater with our toxic piss, marking everything MINE in a ridiculous attempt to survive our deaths. I can’t stop pissing on fire hydrants. I know it’s silly and useless—epically useless in my current state—but I am an animal like any other.

Hazel is different. She walks lightly, old man. She walks lightly upon the earth. Hazel knows the truth: We’re as likely to hurt the universe as we are to help it, and we’re not likely to do either.

People will say it’s sad that she leaves a lesser scar, that fewer remember her, that she was loved deeply but not widely. But it’s not sad, Van Houten. It’s triumphant. It’s heroic. Isn’t that the real heroism? Like the doctors say: First, do no harm.

The real heroes anyway aren’t the people doing things; the real heroes are the people NOTICING things, paying attention. The guy who invented the smallpox vaccine didn’t actually invent anything. He just noticed that people with cowpox didn’t get smallpox.

After my PET scan lit up, I snuck into the ICU and saw her while she was unconscious. I just walked in behind a nurse with a badge and I got to sit next to her for like ten minutes before I got caught. I really thought she was going to die before I could tell her that I was going to die, too. It was brutal: the incessant mechanized haranguing of intensive care. She had this dark cancer water dripping out of her chest. Eyes closed. Intubated. But her hand was still her hand, still warm and the nails painted this almost black dark blue and I just held her hand and tried to imagine the world without us and for about one second I was a good enough person to hope she died so she would never know that I was going, too. But then I wanted more time so we could fall in love. I got my wish, I suppose. I left my scar.

A nurse guy came in and told me I had to leave, that visitors weren’t allowed, and I asked if she was doing okay, and the guy said, “She’s still taking on water.” A desert blessing, an ocean curse.

What else? She is so beautiful. You don’t get tired of looking at her. You never worry if she is smarter than you: You know she is. She is funny without ever being mean. I love her. I am so lucky to love her, Van Houten. You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers.

Question 7

What part of the story was the saddest?  Describe the situation.  Why was it sad?  What made it sad? The pre funeral was the saddest part of the book. Gus called Hazel down to the literal heart of Jesus and to bring her prepared eulogy. The readers came to the conclusion that Gus was going to die........  Which is probably not what readers expected to happen when we made predictions while beginning the book.

Silent Reading week 6, Question 13

The Fault in our Stars - By: John Green

We are reaching the end of the book and so far this is my favorite book I have ever read!!! During this weeks reading quite a lot happened, so i will try and keep this short and sweet. The next day was the last full day in Amsterdam, Hazel and her mom along with Gus were in the little cafe beside the Hotel. While visiting and sipping some tea, Hazel and Gus summarized their encounter with Peter Van Houten. After that Hazels mom left to look at some shops to give Gus and Hazel some alone time. Gus took Hazel back to her room. Hazel sat on the bed and Gus on the chair. Hazel began to feel nervous feeling like she had a reason to be. Gus pulled a cigarette out of hos pack and put it in between his lips. This is what he said,,,(Hazels point of view)

"Just before you went to the ICU, I started to feel this ache in my hip" "No" I said. Panic rolled in, pulling me under. He nodded. "So I went in for a PET scan." He stopped. He yanked the cigarette out of his mouth and clenched his teeth.

Much of my life had been devoted to trying not to cry in front of people who loved me, so I knew what Augustus was doing. You clench your teeth. You look up. You tell yourself that if they see you cry, it will hurt them, and you will be nothing but A sadness in their lives, and you must not become a mere sadness, so you will not cry, and you say all of this to yourself while looking up at the ceiling, and them you swallow even though your through does not want to close and you look at the person who loves you and smile.

He flashed a crooked smile, then said, "I lit up like a Christmas tree, Hazel Grace. The lining of my chest, my left hip, my liver, everywhere."

Gus and Hazel just cried together because they realized that this infinity wouldn't last forever. Hazels Dad was waiting at the airport  the next morning standing with the driver who had the last name wrote on a piece of paper. His sign said "My Beautiful Family (and Gus)" He hugged Hazel for a really long time. Hazel often went to Gus' house (More like EVERYDAY) Isaac stopped by one day and saw Augustus (not actually, he has no eyes)  Gus was on chemo already with multiple drugs attacking the cancer, which was everywhere. He said that everything tastes like pennies. and asked Isaac how his eyes where. Isaac replayed with  "They're not in my head is the only problem." Gus said "Not to one-up you or anything, but my body is made out of cancer" To lighten the mood Gus Asked Hazel if she had $4? Hazel helped Gus and Isaac to the car, because Gus had told her to go get some eggs from the store, Its was at this moment that Hazel realized for the first time in a long time that she was the healthiest person in the room. Once Hazel got the eggs they drove over to Monica's house. Gus and Isaac got out of the car. Gus handed Isaac an egg and threw it at Monica's fancy car. He was way off target, but eventually got the hang of it, and started hitting the car. Hazel got out her phone and took a picture of Gus and Isaac. That was the last picture she would have of him.............................................. Hazel went over to visit Gus Everyday they would just hang out and play video games, because a sick person cant do much. Day after day she would always be there for him. One night Hazels phone started ringing, she looked at the time. It was 2;35 am. A wave of panic washed over her thinking of all the worst case possibilities. She answered with a worried "Hello?"   "Hazel Grace....." Hazel was so relieved to hear his voice, she told him "I love you" repeatedly. Gus began to tell her that he needed help and he was at the gas station, and that he did something wrong with the g-tube (he got his medication through it.).Hazel Insisted that she call 911 but he refused. Hazel got in the car and drove over to the gas station. Gus was in his car. He had puke all over him his eyes were blood shot and glazed over. He explained that he lost his pack of cigarettes and he wanted a new one. He wanted to do something for himself. He puked again and punched the steering wheel, saying "I hate myself, I hate myself, I disgust myself, just let me f***ing die." Hazel called 911. Gus came home from the hospitable and few days later, he didn't have the energy to walk so he was now in a wheel chair and bed rest.  One evening Hazel got call from Gus asking if she could find her way down to the literal heart of Jesus within the next 20 mins and to prepare eulogy....

Question 13
Is the plot engaging—does the story interest you? Is this a plot-driven book: a fast-paced page-turner? Or does the story unfold slowly with a focus on character development? Were you surprised by the plot's complications? Or did you find it predictable?

This book is really enjoyable for me I love "Meaning of life" "Short but well lived lives" stuff. I think this book is in between a fast-paced page turner and an slow story based on character development. Its a good mix of both. This book was not predictable at all, that why I love it!!
